Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in the iOS application “FrameFlip” (the “App”).
Basic Policy
The App is a tool for generating videos by aligning and combining photos selected by the user. The App is not designed to collect, analyze, or infer user behavior, physical characteristics, or personal identity.
We respect user privacy and place the highest priority on protecting personal information. All image processing and video generation performed by the App are completed entirely on the user’s device.
Information Collected by the App
The App does not provide account registration or login features and does not collect the following information:
Name, address, phone number, email address, or other personal identifiers
Biometric information such as face images, facial features, or identification data
Users may select photos or images stored on their device; however, these images are not collected or stored by the App.
Handling of Image and Video Data
The App uses user-selected images solely for the purpose of generating videos.。
Selected images and generated videos are processed only on the user’s device
Images and videos are not transmitted to external servers
Analysis results are not reused for any other purposes
The App does not permanently store images or videos
All image processing and video generation are performed completely offline.
Handling of Face Data
The App provides an optional “Face Mode.” Face Mode is an assistive feature used to align images based on detected faces. When Face Mode is used, the App performs the following processing:
Detects faces in images and temporarily analyzes features such as position and size
Uses analysis results solely for aligning photos to generate a video
Analysis results are retained only temporarily during processing and are discarded immediately after video generation is completed.
The App does not perform any of the following actions:
Store face images
Store facial feature data or identifiers
Use face data for personal identification or authentication
Share face data with third parties
Upload analysis results to cloud services
All face-related processing is completed entirely on the user’s device.
The App does not treat faces as identifiers of individuals and does not use face data for the following purposes:
Identity verification, authentication, or login
Identifying, tracking, or classifying individuals
Estimating age, gender, emotions, or personal attributes
Marketing, advertising, or analytics
Machine learning or model training
These processes are performed in a manner that does not fall under “biometric information that can identify an individual” as defined by applicable privacy laws and Apple’s platform guidelines.
Object (Image) Recognition
In Object Mode, the App aligns images based on user-selected regions using feature points.
This processing is completed entirely on the user’s device
Images and analysis data are not transmitted externally
Analysis results are not stored or shared
Face Mode and Object Mode differ only in how reference points are obtained. Neither mode is used to identify individuals. All analysis data is used only during image alignment and is discarded after video generation.
Data Storage and Retention
The App does not permanently store image data, face data, or analysis results related to image recognition.
During video export, temporary video files (cache files) may be created on the user’s device to ensure stable video generation.
These temporary files are not used for image recognition or face detection
Temporary files are typically deleted automatically within 24 hours
Temporary files are not transmitted externally
The storage and management of generated videos are controlled by the user and the device’s system settings.
Advertising and Tracking
In the free version of the App, third-party advertising services (such as Google AdMob) may be used.
Advertising is provided by third-party service providers
The App does not use face data or image data for advertising purposes
Advertising-related data handling follows the privacy policies of the respective providers
The App supports App Tracking Transparency (ATT). Advertising-related tracking is not performed without the user’s explicit permission.
Future Features
The App may add camera-related features in the future.
In such cases, user privacy will remain the highest priority, and this Privacy Policy will be updated and clearly disclosed as necessary.
Legal Compliance
The App complies with the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the privacy principles outlined in the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised as necessary due to changes in laws or App functionality.
If significant changes are made, users will be notified through appropriate means.
